Unlike the other big spring holiday in the US, Easter, Passover isn’t really known for its sugary delights. But kosher desserts do exist, and these happy little bites of meringue, with dots of chocolate and, if you like, peppermint, are a particular highlight. Have a sweet Passover!
Red Velvet Cake If you’re buying into Valentine’s Day in the first place, you might as well go full throttle, right? Red Velvet cake is, naturally, the perfect color dessert to present to your beloved on February 14. It’s really just a chocolate cake with red food coloring, so it isn’t too complicated (though this being a Cook’s Country recipe, there are a couple unexpected ingredients), and a real cream cheese frosting is one of the most delicious dessert accoutrements in existence. Bake this cake and prepare to get smoochy!
